Possibly a landrace from South America. Notice how the 2 larger tubers are already sprouting. Smaller tubers probably store better. It features a medium thin skin. The color of the skin transfers to the flesh. The dark yellow flesh cooks mealy, flaky and easily falls apart. We would recommend this potato for pan frying.
SEMINOLE … this is NOT the Frito-Lay variety with the same name. Possibly this is the Floridian American Native’s white potato. Now available from SSE Heritage Farm. Pebble shaped with very thin skin. It cooks firm with very mild flavor. Likely a great choice for potato salads and soups.
